This wine is a fascinating journey back in time, crafted entirely from a single Doncel Vila Alva cluster. Master Daniel, guided by local expertise, has imbued it with a truly authentic character, thanks to the use of old vines and the traditional grapes – Doncel, Antão Vaz and Roupeiro – that once reigned supreme in the Alentejo vineyards. The slow, unrestrained fermentation, relying on native yeasts, yields a remarkably textured white with evocative notes that whisper of bygone eras. Absolutely perfect with fresh cheeses and grilled fish, a fitting tribute to Alentejo’s rich heritage.
