History and Terroir Foundation: The history of Ervideira began with the 1st Count of Ervideira, José Perdigão Rosado de Carvalho, who started wine production in 1880. Location: Ervideira's vineyards are spread across two sub-regions of Alentejo: Vidigueira: At Monte da Ribeira, where it produces wines with a fresher profile. Reguengos de Monsaraz: At Herdadinha and Vendinha, where it produces wines with more structure.
