This Rozes Ruby is a real trip back to the heart of the Douro – you get intense notes of plum and pear, like they’ve been hanging around in a very well-loved family cellar. There’s a hint of spice, with a lovely vanilla undertone, which suggests these vines have seen a *lot* of years – ‘Vinha Velhas’ precisely. It’s a full-bodied wine with a wonderfully lingering finish, reminding you of ripe red berries. Seriously delicious with a grilled fish and a good chilli sauce.
