This Sousão, hailing from the Douro’s most esteemed vineyards, clearly enjoyed a rather indulgent slumber. Nine months in French oak imparted a remarkably creamy texture and an aroma reminiscent of exotic woods and sweet spices – as if meticulously chosen from a dark, toasted chocolate. With its perfect acidity and fine tannins, it delivers a sustained, authentic Douro finish, ideally suited for pairing with roasted beef.
