From being a bulk wine supplier to instantly becoming a benchmark for the Madeira wine region, is a feat. It all began in 1991 when Ricardo Freitas joined the family company and, together with the Japanese Kinoshita partners, turned Barbeito into one of the most important Madeira wine producers.
