In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same cellar where he harvested his first vintage in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among Portugal’s highest vineyards, his Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. Thus the Beyra wine label was born, defined by excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines”. In one of the most remote zones of the Iberian Peninsula, in the rugged area between the Upper Douro and the Beira Alta, Rui Reboredo Madeira’s family‑born passion for the aromas and scents of the land shaped his character. After years of experience and time spent in other corners of the world, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project that always respects nature to the fullest.
