Let’s just say Mr. Ermelinda Freitas had a brilliant idea – planting his Cabernet Sauvignon in the already excellent terroir of Fernando Pó, in Palmela. Clearly aiming for maximum concentration, one suspects well-established roots and plenty of sunshine. It’s a wine that’s begging for a hearty roast, or perhaps a substantial sandwich – a truly satisfying pairing.
