This Cistus Concilium, hailing from the Douro, spent a rather indulgent 19 months maturing in French oak – you know, just to really *perfect* itself. The blend of Touriga Francesa, Aragonez, and Touriga Nacional certainly delivered a welcome layer of complexity. It’s a robust wine, definitely one that likes to show off, and would pair beautifully with a perfectly grilled beef steak, or for those who enjoy a wine with a bit of presence.
