This “little project” from the Família Jorge Rosa Santos is a truly remarkable wine, echoing a tradition dating back to the Marquis of Pombal. Grown on schistous soils and nurtured by an exceptional microclimate, the vineyard expresses a remarkable sense of freedom – resulting in a distinctly unique character. The increasingly singular harvest reveals a white wine bursting with floral, citrus, and tropical notes, underpinned by a vibrant acidity and a lingering, almost oriental mineral finish. It’s a fantastic accompaniment to grilled fish or seafood, and a genuine celebration of the distinct terroir of Monte do Mata Mouros.
