This Lello from the Douro certainly had a spirited start – that complete délestage ensuring a fresh wine with a touch of a youthful shock. Ripe red fruit, picked during the Grande Escolha, is beautifully present, supported by a subtle earthy and spicy note, likely a secret whispered by the terroir itself. Remarkably balanced, with fruit that lingers on the finish, and a modernity that, as Borges notes, reflects the region’s spirit. Perfect with a grilled fish, naturally.
