This Monte Bluna Tinta Miúda, already boasting a rather dramatic name, seems to have sprung forth from a veritable sensory deluge. Grown on a 6-hectare plot bordering the Atlantic and the Tejo, with vines averaging 40 years old, it promises an experience that’s anything but ordinary. The vibrant purple hue is just the prelude. Complex aromas of wild berries, violets, and a touch of bramble suggest a wine that refuses to be straightforward. On the palate, the energetic fruit contrasts with intense, firm tannins – a combination that, I confess, can be a little unsettling… but in the most delightful way, of course. Absolutely perfect with a good grilled fish and guaranteed to challenge your palate.
