This Monte do Álamo Reserva certainly delivers on its promise. The deep ruby colour hints at a delightful experience, while the nose reveals a fascinating interplay between fresh fruit and a subtle oak influence – clearly a well-used barrel. On the palate, the tannins are beautifully restrained, holding their power with potential for a rewarding evolution over the coming years. Perfect with beef or dishes featuring mushrooms, I’d say.
