Initially, you’re greeted with notes of fresh red berries, but quickly the characteristic damp earth and chalky minerality of the Bairrada region steps forward – it’s as if the vineyard itself is sharing its story. The remarkably smooth tannins provide a silky texture on the palate, while the persistent acidity ensures a perfectly balanced finish, ideally paired with a good grilled beef. A gold medal from “Vinho & Spetáculo” certainly validates this expression of the old Vinhas Velhas vines.
