This Sequeira Reserva has clearly been enjoying a little sojourn in French oak – a full twelve months, no less. The nose hints at a wonderfully concentrated character, reminiscent of rich red fruit compotes. On the palate, the wine’s firm tannins and balanced structure suggest a lingering finish – perfect alongside a hearty roast, I’d say.
