The Marturana white is the oldest grape variety in Rioja and makes up 48% of the blend in this excellent white, together with white Garnacha and a small amount of Viura. Before the phylloxera plague, white varieties dominated this region, which is now internationally recognised for the quality of its reds. This wine is a perfect example of a Rioja white—mineral and structured, with 12 months of aging in French and Hungarian oak.
