A surprisingly intense concentration of ripe blackberry and a hint of spiced vanilla emerged from a somewhat tricky vintage. The blend of Trincadeira, Sousão and Touriga Nacional delivers a powerful, fragrant finish – a wine certainly worthy of a Special Selection. Prepare for a little sediment at the bottom of the bottle – a clear indication that this wine has a vibrant personality, ideally paired with grilled or roasted red meats or perhaps a well-aged, buttery cheese.
