Born from the dark schist of the Douro, Xisto Preto is a bold statement of Duriense identity. Its intensely elegant colour speaks volumes about the power of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, while the bouquet delicately incorporates Tinta Barroca and Touriga Francesa. On the palate, the wine’s well-defined structure and volume perfectly balances freshness, culminating in a harmonious finish – a finish that, frankly, encourages a second glass. This Gold medal at the Vinhos de Portugal 2018 competition confirms what we already suspected: a robust wine with an unexpectedly elegant touch, ideally paired with a hearty beef roast.
