The extended maceration, particularly within the skins of the berries, clearly indicates a deeply concentrated extraction of dark fruit – think perfectly ripe black fruits – alongside subtle notes of dark chocolate, a lovely result of the influence from the Allier oak. On the palate, the tannins are impressively round and graceful, lingering with a sophisticated finish; it’s a wine that deserves a hearty beef roast, certainly.”
