This Vinho Verde from Quinta das Fontaltas is a delightful springtime burst in the glass – a vibrant citrus-yellow hue accompanied by aromas of lemon and orange, with a sneaky hint of green apple. It’s wonderfully refreshing, reflecting the estate’s long history, dating back to 1626, now in the hands of the third generation of the Namora family. A legacy rooted in the foresight of Manuel António Valente Matos Namora, who, way back in the 19th century, already predicted this wine would be a benchmark for the Douro Litoral – absolutely brilliant with a grilled white fish to really sing out the acidity.
