Mesa do Presidente Colheita tinto is produced with traditional Duri vines and methods, employing vat fermentation and foot‑pressing. About half of the batch ages in French oak barrels and the other half in American oak, giving a wine full of character highlighted by aromas of candied fruit and pronounced tannins. The winery Caves Campelo is based between Barcelos and Famalicão, in the Demarcated Region of Vinho Verde. In recent growth, Caves Campelo has invested in renovating its facilities and expanding into wine production in the Douro and Dão regions. The year 2007 was a turning point, and today, under the leadership of Rui Miranda (exports), Reinaldo Pinho (chief oenologist), and Óscar Lima (owner and logistics head), the company is moving toward success and innovation.
