Quinta Nova Referência Parcela 29/Parcela 21 is planted with Touriga Nacional, comprising 3,300 vines and situated at an altitude between 170 and 205 m. It represents a unique specimen in the history of Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, delivering the maximum expression of its terroir. A true benchmark in the Douro, combined with the century‑old Parcela 21 vineyard, yields an elegantly profiled wine that balances intense, expressive tannins with a fleshy, high‑gravity texture, a dry character and a deep purple hue that showcase the essence of Touriga Nacional. Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, a place of extreme beauty in the heart of the Douro, has been owned by the Amorim family since 1999. The family’s long‑standing connection to wine traces back to their ties with export houses in Vila Nova de Gaia via the cork trade, and today the project rests in the hands of the fourth generation. With a heritage of over 250 years, the estate preserves its historic 1764 cellar, restored under architect Arnaldo Barbosa. (illustrative image)
