Vinha Grande is a classic, intense red from the Douro, with a well‑defined character that reflects the region’s richness and quality in crafting the finest batch wines. It belongs to Casa Ferreirinha’s range, the most traditional wine house of the Douro and one of its leading global references. The grapes undergo a gentle crush and destemming, followed by temperature‑controlled alcoholic fermentation in stainless‑steel tanks, with long macerations and reinfestations. The wine matures for 12‑18 months in used French oak barrels. The final blend is refined through extensive tastings and analyses, with a slight filtration before bottling. Winemaker: Luís Sottomayor.
