This Mamoré de Borba Reserva seems to have had a rather exuberant youth. Aged for 14 months in French oak, it’s brimming with boldness, alongside a pronounced mint character reminiscent of the Alentejo. Expect powerful tannins – it demands a generous approach, but rewards with a long, intense finish, featuring dark chocolate notes that surprisingly evoke eucalyptus – a clear nod to the local landscape. Excellent paired with grilled beef, wouldn’t you agree?
